The Buzzell Senior Center is right down the street from our firm! This is one of our favorite places to volunteer and give back to the community. Since we focus on Elder Law and Estate Planning, these are the people who really benefit from us, and are thankful for our service! It is important to remember that people living in senior centers appreciate visitors and volunteers, and we are happy to provide them with the comfort of companionship when we visit.

We volunteer at the Wilmington Memorial Library quite often. We love to be immersed in our community, and the library allows us a chance to get to know our residents of all ages in a fun, educational environment!

We put education first. We understand that college can be expensive, and we never want a student to feel as if they cannot afford their dreams. We offer multiple scholarship opportunities to give everyone a fair chance at a better education. Mike founded a scholarship in the name of his late Grandfather, Albert Iamelli, the person who inspired him to start his own firm!

The Alzheimer's Association is a non-profit organization that aims to help raise money and find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. It also acts as a resource for families who have loved ones suffering from this awful disease. Alzheimer's is a disease we take very seriously at Monteforte Law and a disease that hits home to many of our employees. We decided to create a team and join the Alzheimer's Association by walking in the 2021, 2022, & 2023 Walk To End Alzheimer's! Alzheimer's isn't stopping, so neither are we! Our goal is to raise $500 for this organization and we are matching 10% of every donation made!

Wilmington High School is another location we donate a large amount of our time to. We often volunteer at
High School events, such as the career fair. We love to take those opportunities and inspire students to push themselves toward their dreams. We love to volunteer here because Mike has two children attending the High School. We also have a Wilmington High School Alumni working at the firm!

The Chamber Golf Classic is one event we sponsor each year! Every year, we sponsor a golf hole at this tournament and dedicate our time to the event. We love being able to give back to fun events that bring the community together. This is a chance for people to get out, and have fun and we love to be a part of that!

501 (c)(3) Application Grant
Once a year Attorney Michael Monteforte chooses a charity or non-profit organization to grant the tedious 501 (c)(3) application free of charge! All they have to pay for is the court and IRS filing fees. A 501 (c)(3) is the IRS's recognition of a non-profit as a legal charity.

Wilmington Veteran Memorial
Monteforte Law donated towards the Wilmington Veterans Memorial. This is a fundraiser started by Eagle Scout, Liam Prigmore. He is creating a Wilmington Honor Roll Memorial. An Honor Roll is a list of names of all the service members from Wilmington who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We encourage you to make a donation to this great cause.

Every year during the holiday season, Monteforte Law donates to the Adopt A Family program run by the Wilmington Community Fund. We donate to this program to relieve pressure off of families who are in need of some help during the holiday season. This is a wonderful way to give back during the holidays!

I enjoy educating people on the importance of estate planning and why everyone should have a plan in place.
