About Claudia

Her Role

As a paralegal, she plays a critical role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of case management. Her responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting documents, preparing case files, and assisting attorneys with administrative tasks to keep everything running efficiently.

Favorite Part of Her Job

Claudia’s favorite part of her job is the problem-solving it involves. She enjoys the structure and pace of legal work because it gives her the chance to bring order to complex situations and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Her love for organization fits naturally into the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything moving forward. Each case feels like a puzzle to work through, and helping piece things together in a way that makes the process smoother and less stressful for clients is what makes the work especially rewarding.

Why She Does This Work

Claudia’s commitment to this work comes from a deep belief that legal processes should feel accessible, not overwhelming. She understands how confusing and intimidating these systems can be, particularly when people are already facing emotionally difficult moments. That understanding is what drives her to show up with care, consistency, and clarity every day.

Though she didn’t originally set out to work in law, Claudia found in this field a way to combine empathy, logic, and precision to help others feel supported through some of life’s most important transitions. She’s proud to contribute to work that is done with compassion, thoughtfulness, and intention.

Fun Facts

Claudia is an avid reader and film lover with a particular appreciation for offbeat stories. Some of her favorite films include Dogville, The Lobster, The 400 Blows, and Uncut Gems. She has a sweet tooth, prefers black tea over coffee, and despite being born in the salsa capital of the world, she’s a self-proclaimed terrible dancer. She fosters cats and dogs whenever possible and has a few adopted pets of her own.

Claudia speaks Spanish, some Portuguese, and is (slowly but steadily) learning German. Her love of language goes hand in hand with her curiosity for the world: she once got completely lost on the German train system and ended up in Austria by accident, spent four months hitchhiking through Brazil, and even made the cliff jump at South Point in Hawaii.

Education

Claudia studied Literature at Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, where she earned a full scholarship based on her academic performance. She also participated in an exchange program at Javeriana University in Bogotá, supported by a merit scholarship. In addition, she holds a CELTA certification from Cambridge University, which she completed in Seattle. With several years of experience working as a legal assistant across family, civil, immigration law, and estate planning, she brings both heart and precision to every role she takes on.
